Fitbit Strap Guide
Fitbit straps aren't one size fits all. Unlike a normal watch, where you just measure the gap between the lugs, every Fitbit has its own fitting. The good news is that quite a few models share the same strap, so once you know which Fitbit you've got, it's easy to find one that fits.
Step 1: find out which Fitbit you've got
The model name is usually printed on the back of the tracker, under the sensor. If it's worn off, open the Fitbit app on your phone and look at the device listed in your account. It'll show the exact model, such as Charge 6 or Inspire 3.
It's worth checking, because some models look almost identical but take different straps. The Charge 4 and Charge 5 are a good example.
Step 2: check which strap fits it
Here's every Fitbit we make straps for, grouped by family. Where two models share a strap, a strap for either one will fit both.
Charge
| Model | Shares a strap with |
|---|---|
| Charge 6 | Charge 5 |
| Charge 5 | Charge 6 |
| Charge 4 | Charge 3 |
| Charge 3 | Charge 4 |
| Charge 2 | None |
| Charge (original) | None |
The Charge HR has a fixed band, so its strap can't be changed.
Inspire and Ace
| Model | Shares a strap with |
|---|---|
| Inspire 3 | None |
| Inspire 2 | Ace 3 |
| Ace 3 | Inspire 2 |
| Inspire HR | Inspire and Ace 2 |
| Ace 2 | Inspire and Inspire HR |
| Inspire | Inspire HR and Ace 2 |
The Ace LTE uses its own bands, so standard straps won't fit it.
Versa and Sense
| Model | Shares a strap with |
|---|---|
| Versa 4 | Sense 2 |
| Sense 2 | Versa 4 |
| Versa 3 | Sense |
| Sense | Versa 3 |
| Versa 2 | Versa and Versa Lite |
| Versa | Versa 2 and Versa Lite |
| Versa Lite | Versa and Versa 2 |
Watch out for the Versa 2 and Versa 3. The names are close, but the straps are different.
Luxe, Alta and Ionic
| Model | Shares a strap with |
|---|---|
| Luxe | None |
| Alta | Alta HR |
| Alta HR | Alta |
| Ionic | None |
Step 3: clip-on strap or strap with a case?
Fitbit straps come in two styles.
Clip-on straps attach to each end of the tracker, just like the strap your Fitbit came with. They come in Small and Large, and they fit most models, from the Charge and Versa to the Luxe and Inspire 3.
Straps with a case have a built-in holder that the tracker pops into. There are no clips to line up, which makes them really easy to swap, and they're great for kids. They're one size, and they're the style for the Inspire 2, Inspire HR, Ace 2 and Ace 3.
The original Inspire can take either style.
Step 4: Small or Large?
Most clip-on straps come in Small and Large, and you choose the size on the strap page.
- Small suits slimmer wrists.
- Large suits bigger wrists, or anyone who likes a looser fit.
If you're not sure, have a look at the strap you're wearing now. If you're on the tightest holes, go Small. If you're near the last hole, or it feels snug, go Large.
How to change a Fitbit strap
On a clip-on strap, there's a small release button or latch on the underside where the strap meets the tracker. Press it, slide the old strap away, then push the new one in until it clicks. Do one side at a time.
On a strap with a case, press the tracker out of its old band from the back, then push it into the new case until it sits flush.
You won't need any tools for either.
Still not sure?
